Our Telecommunications Group handles a full range of telecommunications issues with an emphasis on VoIP, Internet, and other advanced services and technologies. We advise both established and start-up service providers on a wide range of matters, such as universal service compliance and reporting, contract review and negotiation, local access, local number portability, E911/911 compliance. Our clients include service providers, including VoIP providers, CLECs, interexchange carriers, wireless carriers, and MVNOs.

The Telecommunications Group also handles advocacy on behalf of clients. We have prepared comments and participated in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), and U.S. Congress.

We handle a range of telecommunications matters, and are particularly well-positioned to assist clients with the following:

  • Coordinating the company’s regulatory and governmental affairs strategy
  • Drafting comments and other pleadings before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
  • Preparing and managing FCC applications and other materials related to the company’s telecom licenses
  • Managing the company’s compliance with FCC and other communications regulations
  • Developing relationships with FCC staff and representing the company before the FCC in meetings with staff
  • Developing relationships with key Congressional staff members and promoting the interests of the company in legislative matters
  • Working closely with company executives and business teams to establish regulatory priorities and goals
  • Improving compliance processes and procedures
